Leaders of Character

Each fall, we recognize a number of former students for their achievements. Mays Business School has long been noted as graduating business leaders who possess high levels of character and integrity…and this year's group of Mays Outstanding Alumni joins their predecessors in possessing these characteristics. Not only are Clifton Bolner, Barnett Gershen and John Speer outstanding businesspersons, they are outstanding people.

They have given passionately of their time, talent and treasures to their local communities to make them a better place to live and work. They have succeeded in business while promoting a culture of character and integrity throughout their organizations. When asked by our current students for role models, I can point to all three of these gentlemen and say, "do business like they do."
