Richters employ Aggie education and ethics, give back to the school

During the week, Cynthia ’84 and Rance ’83 Richter are business partners, but on the weekends they team up for a different purpose: to yell for the Aggies, donning maroon t-shirts and singing the Aggie War Hymn. Though the Richters currently reside in Austin, the couple spends almost as much time in College Station, attending sporting events and showing constant support for their alma mater, Texas A&M University.



Reed ‘76 endows fund for Mays Business School

In honor of the students who work so hard to obtain a business education while balancing the other requirements of college life, Perry D. Reed ‘76 has donated $25,000 to Mays Business School, establishing the Perry D. Reed ‘76 Endowed Scholarship in Accounting.



Grants for entrepreneurship research awarded

The Center for New Ventures and Entrepreneurship (CNVE) at Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School has named the 2008 recipients of the Aggie 100 Entrepreneurial Scholars Awards. Of the 14 proposals seeking funding, four were selected for a total of $20,000 in grant support.



KPMG to fund scholarships with major gift

KPMG LLP and the KPMG Foundation have announced a gift of $550,000 to the accounting department at Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. This gift will establish an endowed scholarship fund for high-achieving Aggie accounting majors.



Eckels to give $3.5M estate gift

Many changes have taken place on the campus of Texas A&M University since Paul “Buck” Eckels ’52 was a business student here. As the school has moved forward, Eckels has been a part of the progress as an active Aggie supporter. Recently he and his wife, Sandra, announced an estate gift of $3.5 million to Mays Business School.



Mays student wins $10K scholarship

The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors Foundation recently announced the winners of the annual Majestic Realty Co. Educational Scholarship program. Five $10,000 awards were presented to outstanding graduate students pursuing careers in commercial real estate. Jacob Milligan, a master of real estate student at Mays Business School at Texas A&M was one of the five recipients.
