ARGUS Software prepares Mays students for future with gift

ARGUS Software, Inc., a global company specializing in commercial real estate software, recently gave a gift-in-kind worth $200,000 to Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. The gift provided 50 copies of their ARGUS Valuation DSC software, which students will be able to use in a campus computer lab.



Smaller classes = better education

Improving the quality of education at Mays Business School at Texas A&M University is the goal of the differential tuition proposal, which will take effect in the fall 2008 semester. The plan involves a $610 increase for juniors and seniors in the business school each semester in addition to their university tuition.

Mays joins consortium to support veterans with disabilities

Mays Business School at Texas A&M University is joining a consortium led by Syracuse University in a new program designed to assist veterans with disabilities. Called Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities (EVB), this program will offer training in small business start-up and management to service men and women injured in the line of duty since 2001.



KPMG to fund scholarships with major gift

KPMG LLP and the KPMG Foundation have announced a gift of $550,000 to the accounting department at Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. This gift will establish an endowed scholarship fund for high-achieving Aggie accounting majors.



Eckels to give $3.5M estate gift

Many changes have taken place on the campus of Texas A&M University since Paul “Buck” Eckels ’52 was a business student here. As the school has moved forward, Eckels has been a part of the progress as an active Aggie supporter. Recently he and his wife, Sandra, announced an estate gift of $3.5 million to Mays Business School.



Deloitte solidifies partnership with Mays

Conant receives prestigious teaching award

Jeff Conant, professor of marketing at Texas A&M’s Mays Business School, was recently honored by the Society for Marketing Advances (SMA) with their 2007 Sherwin-Williams Distinguished Teaching Professor Award.
