Mays students donate items to local elementary students

Screams of joy echoed through the dimly lit, wood-floored building, as the students of Kemp Elementary talked about their plans for summer. “Walking on Sunshine” played faintly in the background as children laughed and students from Mays passed out packages to 450 students in need to culminate the third annual Project Mays event, hosted by the Business Student Council (BSC).



Garcias, PricewaterhouseCoopers join to provide scholarships at Mays

As the first person in his family to attend college, Ray Garcia ’90 has a deep appreciation for his education and the professional success that it has enabled. Today, as a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Garcia says he wants to give others the same shot at success: he has recently partnered with his firm to establish the Lisa and Ray Garcia ’90/PricewaterhouseCoopers Scholarship in Accounting with a $25,000 gift to Mays Business School.



Aggie romance leads to gift for business school

Susan (Ernst)’86 and John McNamara ’86 found more than just an education that led to a great career in their accounting classes at Texas A&M University, they also found true love: the couple became acquainted when they were assigned to sit next to each other in Accounting 427.

PricewaterhouseCoopers honors longtime partner with tribute gift to Mays

Continuing a tradition of support for Mays Business School, PricewaterhouseCoopers has recently announced a new gift of $150,000 for scholarships in the accounting department at Mays. The gift is given in honor of longtime PwC partner Billy M. Atkinson, Jr. ’72.

Excited cries were heard as students from the Business Student Council passed out new knapsacks filled with school supplies to 601 young scholars at Anson Jones Elementary in Bryan. Mays students orchestrated the entire event, from the corporate and individual fundraising, to the collection and distribution of materials. In all, the group collected $15,815 in monetary donations and supplies.
