Pounding the pavement for job security

For years, college students go to class, make good grades, and build their resumes in order to land great jobs. With a formula so simple, success should be easy, right? Wrong. Elise Hilgemeier, a finance major at Mays Business School at Texas A&M University is one of the many students around the nation feeling the crunch of unemployment as she struggles to find a job before her May graduation.



Career fairs ready students for the future

As students prepared resume portfolios and brushed up on networking skills, Mays Business School welcomed the fall season by hosting its annual fall career fairs. Organized by the Center for Retailing Studies and the Business Student Council, these events provided students with four days of job searching and career building opportunities.

Seventy top businesses, thousands of eager Mays students, and an endless stack of resumes. That was the scene on February 5 and 6 for the annual Business Student Council spring Career Fair at Mays Business School at Texas A&M University.
