Aggies, Mays students win national sport management competition

They weren’t supposed to win. They were less experienced and lacked the expertise of their competitors whose programs were more specialized. The team of graduate students from Texas A&M University knew they were a long shot to win the Case Cup competition at the National Sports Forum in January.



Two on Mays faculty recognized with national award

Texas A&M Distinguished Professors of Marketing Leonard L. Berry and Rajan Varadarajan have been selected as recipients of the 2008 Paul D. Converse Award. This honor from the American Marketing Association is bestowed once every four years to five scholars who have made a significant contribution to the science of marketing through their lifetime of research.

Mays student wins $10K scholarship

The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors Foundation recently announced the winners of the annual Majestic Realty Co. Educational Scholarship program. Five $10,000 awards were presented to outstanding graduate students pursuing careers in commercial real estate. Jacob Milligan, a master of real estate student at Mays Business School at Texas A&M was one of the five recipients.



Mays student wins international trading competition

Vipin Sethi, a sophomore at Mays Business School, has won the third annual Texas A&M Inter-University Forex Competition, with the highest overall rate of return on investment of 78.64 percent. This month-long international competition drew 137 students from 13 colleges and universities to compete for the grand prize of a $10,000 forex trading account from Global Forex Trading (GFT).



Conant receives prestigious teaching award
