07.09 Amy Hillman ’96, PhD in strategic management and business and public policy, was named the new executive dean of the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. In addition to her new role as second-in-command at the school, Hillman will continue to serve as both the Jerry and Mary Ann Chapman Professor of Management and the Management Department chair.
06.09 Stephen Fraga ’97, BBA in finance, was named to the 2009 “40 under 40″ list by the Houston Business Journal in May. This premier awards program identifies 40 leaders who excel in their industry, are respected business leaders, and show dynamic leadership in their community. Fraga is president of Tejas Office Products, Inc., which provides Houston-area businesses with office supplies.
10.08 Tensie Holman ’90, BBA in accounting, has been named managing partner of the Denver office of KPMG LLP. Homan, who has been with KPMG for 16 years, is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Colorado, Texas and California and is a member of both the American Institute of Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Colorado Society of CPAs.
05.08 Julie (Coffman) Doss ’94, BBA in management, was named Assistant Dean for Career Services at the Texas Tech University School of Law. Prior to her newest appointment, Doss practiced as an attorney with Nelson & Nelson in Lubbock and joined the Texas Tech University School of Law in 2003 as Director of Career Services.
08.07 Peggy Cunningham ’91, PhD in marketing, was promoted to full professor rank this summer at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. She was also appointed director of the Corporate Social Responsibility Centre at the School of Business.
05.07 Ron Novak ’91, BBA in marketing, was recently named Director of Human Resources for the Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes Corporation in Warrensville Heights, Ohio. He celebrated 15 years with the company in 2007. Reach Novak at ron.novak@cox.net.
05.07 Hubert Glover ’92, PhD in accounting, was appointed this year to serve a three-year term as a member of the board of directors for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The AICPA is a national professional organization with more than 350,000 members dedicated to providing all CPAs with resources, information and leadership. 05.07 Traci Cook Lee ’98, BBA in management and information systems, was named one of the top five women in Houston under age 40 for her leadership and inspiration in spurring other Houstonians to become involved in the city’s charitable and civic organizations. She was recognized by Houston Modern Luxury Magazine and the Houston Opera, and was featured at the Houston Opera Ball in March 2007.
01.07 Robert J. Michlewicz, Jr. ’90, BBA in marketing, has been named president of Bowne & Co. Inc.’s southern region. Michlewicz will preside over 12 major markets including Dallas, Houston, Denver and Atlanta.
01.07 Kelly Parr ’90, BBA in accounting, was recognized as the Young CPA of the Year in Texas for 2005-2006 by the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Recipient requirements include being 39 years of age or younger, and having made significant contributions to the accounting profession and the community.
01.07 Scott Carter ’92, BBA in accounting, earned his M.D. and is now in the Department of Radiology at Eastern Virginia medical center. He will soon return to Texas in the Department of Diagnostic Imaging at the University of Texas’ MD Anderson Cancer Center, the second largest radiology department in the world. There, he’ll be following the progress of thousands of cancer patients and performing interventional procedures.
01.07 Lynda Ruffino ’92, BBA in marketing, took second place at the Tinker Air Force Base XIV Annual Triathlon in the Women’s Open division.
01.07 Jeffrey Vincent ’93, BBA in accounting, has been named senior commercial relationship manager and senior vice president for Regions Bank in Fort Worth.
11.06 Matthew Mahone ’98, master’s in real estate ’01, joined RBC Capital Markets’ Real Estate Mortgage Captial division as vice president for Southwest Originations in October 2006. In his new position, Mahone is responsible for originating and analyzing commercial mortgage-backed securties loans on a broad range of income-producing property types for loan securitization throughout Texas. Mahone was previously a loan orginator for JP Morgan throughout the southwest. He also spent several years working with Deloitte & Touche’s financial advisory services division, focusing on real estate consulting.
07.06 Johanna Christiansen ’94, BBA in management and master’s in land economics and real estate, has been promoted to a senior vice president in commercial real estate banking at Bank of America in Universal City, Texas. She has been with the bank since 1997.
07.06 Thadd Hargett ’99, BBA in marketing, was named director of annual giving by Texas A&M’s Association of Former Students. Thadd, a second generation Aggie, previously served as coordinator of annual giving.
05.06 Capt. Jonathan Ballard ’99, BBA in information and operations management, was deployed in December 2004 with the 56th BCT out of the Texas National Guard in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and has completed his tour. He arrived back in Fort Hood on Dec. 9, 2005.
11.05 Sheri Meyer ’95, BBA in finance, was recently honored by the Leading Women Express Network of the American Business Women’s Association. She was named the 2005 Network Woman of the Year for her contributions and achievements in business.
10.05 Michael Hudson ’97, BBA in information and operations management, says, “I recently changed jobs to Jo-Ann Fabric & Crafts as the Store Manager in The Woodlands, Texas. This will allow me to spend more time with my wife, Crystal, and my two kids: three-year-old Kyle and seven-month-old Madison. 09.05 Capt. Ken Evans ’98, BBA in management, is a C-5 instructor pilot in the 436th Airlift Wing, stationed at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware.
09.05 Sgt. Nathan A. Ostermann ’99, BBA in marketing, is a Texas Army National Guard member with C Company of the 56th BCT currently serving in Iraq.
09.05 Sam McGee ’98, BBA in marketing, recently joined Wachovia Wealth Management as vice president, relationship manager in Houston.

07.05 Lt. Jeff Minch ‘95, BBA in accounting, currently serves as a vessel watch officer working with the Naval Expeditionary Logistics Support Force Forward Bravo in Kuwait.
07.05 Harold Mitchell, Jr. ’95, BBA in business analysis, is currently an instructor of computer science at Morehouse College in Atlanta. His current research addresses how IT will benefit life sciences in the coming years through such avenues as biomedical informatics.
09.04 Mei Ling “Janice” Toh ’97, BBA in marketing, writes: “I am now back in Malaysia!”
09.04 Rick Niswander ’93, PhD in accounting, has been recognized as W. Howard Rooks Distinguished Professor of Accounting at East Carolina University and was appointed dean of the College of Business effective July 1, 2004.
09.04 Jason Langridge ’98, BBA in marketing, recently started his position as a market analyst with Chicago Bridge & Iron.
09.04 Robert Ramirez ’98, MBA, and his wife recently started their own law firm, Coorpender & Ramirez Attorneys and Counselors at Law, PLLC in Lake Dallas, Texas. Robert writes, “Our practice areas include business law, estate planning, real estate and employment law. We also had a son in February of this year, his name is Michael Ramirez.”
07.04 Barry Bryan ’94, PhD in accounting, has a new position as professor of professional practice in accounting at TCU’s M. J. Neeley School of Business.
07.04 Steven Wessner ’97, BBA in marketing, currently serves in the U.S. Navy as a helicopter pilot and has been all over the world during his career.
07.04 Cheryl (Pfeiffer) Schader ’96, BBA in marketing, says, “I am a Senior Financial Analyst at The Dallas Morning News and married Keith Schrader ‘94 in November 2003.”
07.04 Nassib Allaham ’97, BBA in business analysis, currently works as a business consulting supervisor for Ernst & Young in Kuwait.
07.04 Josh Baird ’99, BBA in information and operations management, says, “I started working for PricewaterhouseCoopers after graduating. The consulting practice that I’m working in was sold to IBM so I’m now under ‘Big Blue’ working in Houston, Texas. I do remote support and development for a number of clients in all several different industries. Other than that, I got married, bought a house and a dog so I guess I’m settling down but I’m NOT getting old yet.”
07.04 Jay Deng ’99, MBA in business administration, represents the company Venturepharm Group, which specializes in new drug development. Jay says, “As vice president for Global Business Development, I am responsible for exploring opportunities worldwide and collaboration with foreign companies or individuals in the following fields. For Aggies who work in related fields, I would like to get in touch with you.”
