07.06 Greg Cohen ’86 now serves as the performance measurement lead for the largest acquisition program in Coast Guard history, the Deepwater Program. He also serves as the project manager for the Program Enterprise Business Intelligence system, which recently won the SAS Enterprise Intelligence Award.
07.06 Cyrill Eltschinger ’89, BBA in finance, helped A&M land the newly inaugurated MBA exchange program between China’s premier MBA school, Tsinghua, and Mays Business School. Originally from Switzerland, Eltschinger attended A&M, joining the Coprs of Cadets as a freshman, after graduating from College St. Michael with degrees in Latin and Greek. Eltschinger, who started I.T. United, a China-based outsourcing service, also helped start the China A&M Club.
05.06 Danny Pickett ’85, a CPA-turned artist, has relocated his studio from Longmont, Colorado, to Galveston, Texas. He is a resident artist at Nest Boutique, 2427 Market Street in Galveston. 03.06 Sandra Gomez ’82, BA in management, emceed a welcome reception at the Modern Art Museum and the forum on Critical Issues Affecting Central America at the Central America Aggie Summit on Feb. 16-18, 2006, in El Salvador.

11.05 Lt. Col. Drew DeHaes ’86, BBA in business analysis, says, “I am the operations group commander of the 132 Fighter Wing, Iowa Air National Guard, based in Des Moines, Ia. We just spent 60 days flying missions over Iraq in support of Army and Marines.”
09.05 Pete Greaves ’80, MS in finance, competed in the 109th Boston Marathon held on April 18, 2005. The marathon hosted about 20,000 participants for the 26 mile-long race from Hopkinton, Massachusetts to Boston.

07.05 Cmdr. Mark Ghirardi ’84, BBA in business analysis, currently serves as a port commander working with the Naval Expeditionary Logistics Support Force Forward Bravo in Kuwait.
05.05 Scott Burton ’80, BBA in accounting, president of Benchmark Insurance Group, Inc. in San Marcos, is one of six Aggie members of the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas board of directors for 2005.
05.05 Mike Albrecht ’82, BBA in marketing, helped to design the Silestone quartz countertops “I am Diana Pearl” commercial that aired during Superbowl 2005 in February. The commercial featured Chicago Bears legends Mike Ditka, William “Refrigerator” Perry and Jim McMahon as well as NBA star Dennis Rodman. He has 20 years of marketing and advertising experience.
05.05 Alicia Duleba ’89, BBA, an associate in the labor and litigation sections of the Texas-based law firm Jackson Walker LLP’s Dallas office, was honored by the Austin Business Journal as a 2004 Rising Star. The 25 chosen rising stars are up-and-coming employees who bring vitality, originality and dedication to their work.
05.05 Bill Harrison, Jr. ’89, BBA in finance, president of the board and current president of Coleman Company Insurance in San Antonio, is one of six Aggie members of the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas board of directors for 2005.
09.04 G. Steven Dawson ’80, BBA in accounting, writes that he “retired in 2003, 10 years after creating a successful NYSE-traded real estate investment trust. Today, I serve on the boards of five public REIT’s and one private company. My oldest son is now a student at the Mays School…hopefully, the others will follow.”
09.04 Mark D. Taylor ’83, MBA, says, “after 12 years at BMC Software as vice president of operations, I recently joined Trammell Crow Company as senior vice president and manager of the Office Building Division.”
09.04 Paige Booth ’84, BBA in marketing, is vice president of marketing at St. Edward’s University in Austin. Booth says, she “came to this position after 15 years of marketing and advertising work in the corporate sector. I am married to a Texas Ex and have a 6-year-old son.”
09.04 Pauletta (Brown) Blueitt ’81, BBA in management, recently earned a landmark military honor when she became the first African-American female to achieve the rank of colonel in the Air Force Medical Service Corps. She currently serves in the U. S. Army Reserves and is a class agent for the Class of ‘81.
09.04 Samuel Freund ’81 started with Merrill Lynch in 1987 as a financial consultant in the Corpus Christi office and then transferred to the downtown Austin office. He has a series 7, 63, 65 and life license. He left to work for Farm Bureau in ‘99 and finished his local recording license to sell property and causality insurance along with securities, annuities and life insurance. In 2004, he joined The Bryan-College Station Eagle newspaper as the marketing consultant and enrolled at Mays Business School to work on an MS in marketing.
07.04 Jim Hayes ’81, BBA in marketing, MBA in business administration, is the associate director of succession planning for SBC Communications, Inc. and is the author of “The Joys of Unemployment.” Hayes completed his first triathlon in May 2004.
07.04 Edward Reyelts ’86, BBA in business analysis, is a retired officer who served 22 years in the U.S. Marines. He is currently working for Computer Sciences Corporation in Kansas City, Mo.
07.04 Thomas Rugh ’86, BBA in management, says he is “working on launching a new national branding for Verizon where I have been working the past 7 years.”
07.04 Philip Sauer ’87, MBA in business administration, retired to College Station in 2003 and currently serves as an executive-in-residence at Mays Business School in the Graduate Business Career Services Department.
