11.07 Beth Sanders Moore ’77 was recently named Houston’s Outstanding Community Volunteer Fundraiser for 2007. The selection was based on Moore’s service: she has raised over $30 million for the arts, education and health care organizations throughout Texas over the last 15 years. She is most recently noted for her association with The Beth Sanders Moore Undiagnosed Breast Clinic and The Beth Sanders Moore Young Breast Cancer Survivors’ program, both of which are affiliated with M. D. Anderson. She is also involved in numerous other community organizations.
11.07 Jorge Bermudez ’73 has been named Chief Risk Officer, with responsibility for market, credit, and operational risk, and compliance around the world for Citi and all of its subsidiary companies. Bermudez, who has been with Citi for 30 years, will report directly to acting CEO Sir Win Bischoff. (read more)
08.07 Gregory M. Cokinos ’79, BBA in management, was inducted into the American College of Construction Lawyers. The mission of the college is to improve and enhance the practice and understanding of construction law. Its mission is fulfilled through the election of Fellows distinguished by their skill, experience and high ethical standards in the practice or teaching of construction law. Cokinos is the first (and currently only) individual elected to the college from the Houston area. His firms, Cokinos, Bosein & Young, has offices in Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth and San Antonio.
07.06 Robert A. Perryman ’78, BBA in finance, has been promoted to president and CEO of First State Bank in Clute, Texas.
05.06 Randy Glover ’76, BBA in accounting, has joined the international law firm of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. as senior counsel in the Houston office.
03.06 Arturo Alonzo ’72, BBA in marketing, led a “Critical Issues Affecting Central America” panel discussion on “Recovery” at the Central America Aggie Summit on Feb. 16-18, 2006, in El Salvador.

11.05 Steven Moore ’79, BBA in marketing and MBA in finance, was named chief marketing officer and vice president of communications at Texas A&M University. In this new position, Moore has campus-wide oversight of all marketing, media relations, publications, internal communications, brand architecture and content for top-level Web sites and other digital communications, media, market research, positioning and branding efforts. Moore most recently served as senior vice president at IMG, the world’s largest sports marketing company, and has also occupied various executive positions within The Coca-Cola Company.
09.05 Jerry S. Cox ’72, BBA in finance, is a 2005 Distinguished Alumnus Award recipient. This award is the highest honor bestowed upon a Texas A&M University former student. It recognizes only students who have made significant contributions to society and whose actions uphold the legacy of leadership excellence valued by A&M. Cox founded Cox & Perkins Exploration, Inc. in 1977 and, while serving as president and chairman, he has gained a reputation among the oil and gas industry as an astute and honest investor and businessman. He is a past president of the 12th Man Foundation and a trustee of the Texas A&M Foundation.
09.05 Judge Willie E. B. Blackmon ’73, BBA in marketing, is a 2005 Distinguished Alumnus Award recipient. This award is the highest honor bestowed upon a Texas A&M University former student. It recognizes only students who have made significant contributions to society and whose actions uphold the legacy of leadership excellence valued by A&M. Blackmon served the U.S. Air Force as a military attorney for 20 years. In 2004, he was honorably discharged from the Texas Air National Guard at the rank of lieutenant colonel. Upon completion of active duty, Blackmon was an assistant district attorney in Lubbock and Houston. He has served as a co-founding member of the Texas A&M Letterman’s Association, a member of the College of Education and Human Development Advisory Council and the Corps of Cadet Development Council.
07.05 Ted Paup ’74, BBA in finance, has joined TexasBank as vice president and senior investment officer. Paup is a CPA and financial planner with extensive farm, ranch, oil and gas experience.
05.05 Doug Dunlap, Jr., CIC, CPA ’79, BBA in accounting, is chief financial officer of Catto & Catto, LLP in San Antonio and is one of six Aggie members of the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas board of directors for 2005.
05.05 Michael Knapek ’79, BBA in accounting, a partner in the real estate section of Texas-based law firm Jackson Walker LLP’s Dallas office, was named a 2004 Super Lawyer by Texas Monthly magazine. Super lawyers are the top 5 percent of attorneys in the state, as chosen by their peers.
09.04 Stuart M. Scarborough ’75, BBA in management, is currently an area landman for Citation Oil & Gas Corp. in Houston, Texas. He handles all land-related matters in Texas and Oklahoma.
09.04 Thomas “Tom” Gray ’79, MS in accounting, was appointed by Gov. Rick Perry ‘72 as chief justice of the Tenth Court of Appeals District in Waco.
07.04 Charles A. “Chuck” Ellison ’76, BBA in finance, graduated from the Texas Tech School of Law in 1979 and spent four years in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps. Ellison currently practices law in his own firm, Charles A. Ellison, PC, and serves on The Texas A&M University System’s Chancellor’s Century Council.
07.04 Frank “Marty” Jamieson ’70, BBA in finance and management, MBA in finance, is the treasurer and chief financial officer of Hitachi Computer Products American Division in Norman, Oklahoma. He is an accounting board member for the University of Oklahoma Price Business School and a past president of Financial Executives International, Oklahoma City Chapter.
07.04 Beverly Hawks McMillen ’76, BBA in accounting, received her CPA from the University of Texas in 1980. She held various accounting positions in Virginia, Pennsylvania and Connecticut until her retirement from Connecticut College.
07.04 Monty Davis ’77, BBA in accounting, is senior vice president and chief operating officer for Core Laboratories NV in Houston, Texas.
07.04 Lance Fitzgerald ’77, BBA in finance, received his LLM in securities and financial regulation and tax and employee benefits law from Georgetown University Law School in 2000. He is assistant general counsel for the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts
07.04 Troy Robinson ’79, BBA in finance, is the president of First National Bank in Quitman, Texas, where he has served for 22 years.
