11.05 Frank Muller ’65, MBA in management, was recently honored as Outstanding Houston Aggie by the Houston A&M Club. This prestigious honor salutes former students who exemplify the Aggie Spirit with their time, passion, talents and contributions.
11.05 Jon Booker ’67, BBA in accounting, says “I am a professor of accounting at Tennessee Technological University and just received the Tennessee Society of CPAs Lifetime Achievement Award.” jonbooker@tntech.edu
07.05 Richard C. (Charlie) Eads ’69, BBA in management, was named Oregon Broadcaster of the Year by the Oregon Association of Broadcasters. Eads has been the owner and general manager of Mid-Valley radio stations KGAL and KSHO since the purchase of KGAL by Eads Broadcasting Corporation in 1981. He began his career in broadcasting in Oregon in 1976 and was the owner of the station 102.3 FM. He was also co-owner of a radio station in Portland for two years.
05.05 Jim Berger ’68, BBA in finance, former president of the board and current president of Insurance Alliance in Houston, is one of six Aggie members of the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas board of directors for 2005.
05.05 Douglas G. Hotchkiss, CIC, CPA ’63, BBA in accounting, president of Hotchkiss Insurance Agency, Inc. in Dallas, is one of six Aggie members of the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas board of directors for 2005.
09.04 James B. “Nardie” Vine Jr. ’66, BBA in management, was elected as the 2004 chairman of the National Appraisal Board, reports the Texas Aggie magazine. The Appraisal Foundation is an organization authorized by the U. S. Congress to set the generally accepted standards for the appraisal profession nationwide as well as minimum qualification criteria for real property appraisers. Vine specializes in the valuation of rural and special purpose agribusiness properties and is currently the president of Vine and Associates in San Antonio.
